Ik mis dit deel bij jou:

ff snel getest, als ik dat erbij zet krijg ik wel scrollbars in IE6, alleen klopt nu de breedte van de header en de footer niet meer.
Die hack die je hierboven ziet werkt juist voor IE6; hierin kun je dus ook de breedte specifiek voor IE6 aanpassen.

Je constatering klopt...
Die scrollbar-nogwat settings zijn _niet_ vastgelegd in de 'officiële' standaarden bij W3C. Van oorsprong werken ze ook alleen in MS Internet Explorer en niet in andere browsers. Inmiddels zijn er wel een paar browsers die er (onterecht) iets mee doen, maar (gelukkig) laat Firefox de interface met rust :)
Wat je zou kunnen doen als je zeker wel gekleurde scrollbars wilt, dan kun je je hele website in bijvoorbeeld flash ofzo maken...

The practical application of this is now you can have your movie resize based on how much content there is to display. Being able to scroll with the browsers scroll bar instead of creating a separate flash scrollbar is the chief benefit to this technique. To accomplish this Gifford uses the swfObject by Geoff Stearns. Hoss has kindly made available the source code for this project under a creative commons license in hopes that someone can improve it.
